Large-scale demonstrations are expected to take place across Kenya tomorrow, Wednesday. In Nairobi, hundreds of thousands of people are expected to gather and take part in the protests.
Unfortunately, whenever such protests occur, Somali-owned shops in downtown Nairobi are often targeted and looted.
Today, I saw videos showing some shop owners in the city center removing their goods and taking them home for safety.

This week, a video went viral on social media featuring a young Kenyan man who claimed that a former deputy president of Kenya is organizing thousands of youth to launch an attack on Eastleigh, a neighborhood known for its large Somali population. The alleged goal is to loot Somali-owned businesses in the area.
To every Somali reading this message: please stay home and do not get involved in the demonstrations.
We all remember that a young Somali man lost his life during the protests that took place on the 25th of last month.
Residents of Eastleigh should remain alert and prepared.
May God protect every Somali person and their property.
Great news.
